Update: I took advice from the NICE comments. I let hi know I want to open a discussion about the lack of physical intimacy. He opened up to me that in his last relationship, there was a lot of abuse. He was with his ex for over 10 years and had a child w her. A few years ago, he was diagnosed w cancer and went through a really long, tough treatment. (He had told me before about surviving cancer and finding out about his ex's infidelity.) He opened up to me how, at his worse, his ex would slip viagra in his food and take advantage of him when he would beg her to stop. He told me about how she would sleep around w other men in front of their toddler, use his money to buy gifts for those men, etc. When he confronted her about this, she screamed, threw glass at him, and even broke his hand w a hammer. We had a long, open, painful talk which worked so well to help our relationship! We're being intimate almost every day now and he's even being more open with me about his struggles (even if its only a little). I love this man and he makes it clear that he loves me too. I'm happy we get to grow into happy healthy people together.
