Did you get married because you felt like you were supposed to?

My coworker & I had this conversation & I am curious to how many other people are in the same spot. Her husband died 15 years ago & they have 2 daughters. There were some issues in the relationship but nothing serious. She said that she finds herself questioning these days if she really was ever in love with him or if she just married him because at that point in her life, that’s what others were doing. We got into a conversation & I could name other people that I think are in these type of relationships & wonder how common it really is.
