my summer romance

So I’ve been in love with bikes when I was younger. I was racing road and track in a club, was doing some cycle cross and a lot of alley cats with fixed gear bikes. It was all bikes everything, then I got older and other activities pushed that passion until it got less and less. :(

Fast forward a couple of years: I just finished my bachelors and had a work project coming up that required me to stay in a different rural town every week for more than 2 months.

After finishing my thesis, I needed something I could really get my hands on. With summer around the corner, about to explore some unfamiliar countryside, and having a bit of extra cash, I was set on build up a bike again. :)
I was after something versatile, capable of taking me anywhere, without being too sporty but fun to ride.

Back in the day I was dreaming about getting an Bridgestone or Panasonic NJS frame, but it was just too expensive. I also have this Bridgestone touring bike, so when I saw an MB4 in my area for cheap I was fixed. After some parts research I came across this subreddit, and here we are. :)

The bike was restored and upgraded over the months. It took me everywhere I wanted and gifted me with unforgettable moments. It gave me back this love of riding, building and fixing. Man, bikes make happy <3 Here are some photos of our summer romance and how we met.
