[BLOOD AND WINE SPOILERS] How to dodge the Bat Attack

So I'm in the final fight with Dettlaff. The first stage is no problem and I can get him to transform nearly without losing any HP. The real problem is to avoid his Bat Attack. When he sends the swarm of bats at me I loose more than 3/4 of my energy even though I have Quen active and at 100%.

After that I'm not able to heal myself before the second Bat Attack.

Is there a way to dodge this? Even if it's not a complete dodge. Maybe only loose your shield.

Otherwise the tactic is pretty clear. When he rests at the bottom, hit him. And don't get caught in the "spots" were he did land.

BTW I'm level 50. Sword and Sing (mostly Igni) Build
