Asthma - My observations and looking for tips & tricks.

I have a medium to "more severe" Asthma. I wanted to ask somebody with a similar condition if they have any tips and tricks for somebody who started actively exercising and optimizing lifestyle.
For example, using Albuterol (Branded as Ventolin here) before bed significantly raises my HRV and spikes my recovery scores (HRV from 30 -> 60). It essentially doubled over a week or two of actively using Albuterol, even though I was prescribed a different corticoid-based medication that had absolutely zero impact on my whoop metrics.
I wonder if my normal HRV is just severely pushed down by my asthma, or if Albuterol somehow "artificially" spikes my HRV without having any real impact.
Do any of you with a similar condition see similar results with the same or similar medication? Or follow some regime that actually helped you with improving your metrics while having an asthma.
