Old Man wants to get Back in

Played a ton of video games in the 80s and 90s and then life happened- now mid 50s. Any advice on some sort of an open world game that is easy to catch on. The last modern game I played was one called Black on probably PS2. I could handle that but the call of duty type stuff is too much for me.
