Dilemma re: etiquette
We applied for a couple of sits over the same time frame. One of them was immediately responsive and we had a video call with them today. They would like to sleep on it and will let us know in the morning. In the meantime another homeowner, who is our second choice, responded, saying we sound ideal and asking to do a video call.
I’m a prompt and straightforward communicator, but it feels like it would be rude to say we’re waiting to hear back and if we don’t get the other sit, we’d love to meet her. I also don’t like the idea of not responding at all until I hear from the first family tomorrow.
HOs would you appreciate someone telling you they might not be available and encouraging you to move forward with other sitters until they know, or would that put you off?
