Set design

Does anyone feel like the set design and lighting for the current tour is a massive step back?

I understand the band spent a lot of money on the ABIIOR tour design and they don't want to have that kind of expense again. I think it's a bit of a shame as it was their best staging and probably one of the best productions ever made. But you can see why they toned it down.

I thought the house set was a creative way to still keep the stage exciting and fun to watch as well as being cheaper to produce.

But the current stage design of ATVB feels a bit... amateurish and... cheap? Maybe it's because the previous stages have been so awesome. Even the ILIWYS set is better than the current one because it had an identity. It feels like the current set could be used by any band and it would still work.

I know they're far from home and perhaps that is a reason behind the stripped back stage design. But they did make it work on previous tours... Anyway, let's hope the house or something equally visually exciting returns for the next leg of the tour!
