Question about Telescopes

Hey everyone,

I know this question has been posted a thousand times, but can you please offer some advice.

I've searched for a new telescope but at the moment I'm a bit lost. After spending over a week searching for a telescope, I thought it would be best to turn to you guys.

I currently have an Orion Skyquest XT8 Dobsonian 8inch, which has been a great beginners telescopes. I bought it to view our Solar Systems planets, however I now want to get into Astrophotography. I've been advised that people don't use my telescope for astrophotography because it doesn't have the tracking necessary for the longer exposures required.

I've done a lot of research online and have spent countless hours looking through many different telescopes. I'm finding the more research I'm doing however, the more I'm getting confused. Every website seems to list a different telescope that's best for Astrophotography, and at this point I'm just confused.

I've also read various posts on reddit but again everyone seems to have different scopes and opinions on which is the best.

I know this isn't an easy question to answer as there's so much choice out there, so I've bullet pointed some of the thing I'm looking for in a telescope, along with budgets and what I want to do.

- Where is live is fairly unaffected by light pollution (Rural UK)

- Ideally just looking to photograph the Moon, planets etc and not so much deep space, however if there's a telescope that can do both that's a bonus

- Ideally looking for a telescope that's "easy" to use, I say that lightly as I know there's some skill required, but I'm still a beginner.

- Budget is £500 - £7000

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I appreciate any feedback.
