Hoping to see Link's thoughts/mental state throughout the game
It's a weird thing to ask for but I really want to see how Link views himself.
100 years ago, he's defeated and restored in the Shrine of Resurrection, unable to fulfil his role in protecting Zelda. And now in TOTK, he was just out of reach in rescuing Zelda from her fall.
It made me wonder how Link would feel. That's twice he has failed to keep Zelda safe as her Knight. Would he blame himself or feel doubt about whether he is worthy of being the Knight of the Princess of Hyrule and the Hero of Hyrule?
Plus, it would be nice if characters like Sidon or Riju interacted with Zelda during the time skip, which would allow some dialogue with Link after Zelda's fall. Aware that Link would always be with her and now he's not, they'll provide support and encouragement to Link and develop their characters even more.
Furthermore, would Ganondorf use these two occasions as a way to mock Link? It would definitely have some effect on Link and the player during the final battle with Ganondorf, especially if Zelda has reunited with Link. Link can't afford to fail the third time.
