CAN WE TALK ABOUT SYN ATL
Okay management is out of their gourds. I am NOT IMPRESSED with the shady shit they’re doing whatsoever. For anyone reclining with a bowl of popcorn that will never work here, lemme fill yall in. Anyone currently working here, feel free to add your 2 cents please 💛
Lemme start~
Auditioned in Nov. the opening date was constantly changed/pushed back. Was told house fees & tip out would be affordable/less than my current club which has the highest tip out in ATL (not anymore).
Meeting mid-December that was MANDATORY. We HAD to have our permits ($250) BY the meeting. Managers proceed to dodge all important questions in an almost 3 hour meeting on a Saturday evening they forced us to come to.
Didn’t answer any important questions; •what will house fee/tip out be? •Are customers allowed contact in dances? To which they responded ‘whAt Do YoU MEaN bY CoNtACt? Like idk sir you’ve been in the biz longer than I’ve been alive I think you know what I mean! •when do we open? To which they proceeded to give us an even later date (atp was supposed to be 12/31, now changed to 1/6 OR 1/13)
1/6 thru 1/13 came & went with absolute radio silence.
I receive a text about a week ago FINALLY, with soft opening & grand opening dates. Still NO word on house fees /tip out.
A day before soft opening, I get a text with house fees. Honestly kinda expensive. They did NOT include tip out fees & waited to tell everyone AFTER the end of our shift. Felt like I was being punked tbh.
As of Wednesday house fees were (pic 1) & tip out was; $15 House Mom $10 Security 10% of overall earnings to DJ
My experience of the soft opening ~
More dancers than customers. Most customers not doing shit(a whole ass section of couples treating it like a dance club & drinking but did not tip a single fucking dancer the entire 3 hours they were there). No stage money, hardly any dances going on. (A few girls made money but the majority weren’t.) ATMs weren’t working. No alcohol spray for the poles & some girl put her bare ass coochie on it… house mom doesn’t have locks for the lockers, etc… for a place that’s been preparing to open for months, they weren’t prepared. I expected there to be a decent crowd for a soft opening bc during my audition they blabbed about all of their ‘connects’ from management being from multiple other popular clubs in ATL.
The end of the night one of the managers starts ‘interviewing’ the dancers on their feelings about the house fees/tip out, bc a couple girls atp have thrown fits over it. I tell ‘em it’s a bit too high & move on.
As of THIS MORNING, I get a text with ‘updated’ house fees (pic 2). THEY RAISED THEM EVEN MORE!!!! Their response to girls expressing it’s too high, is raising it?
Also they know exactly what they’re fucking doing by waiting until the 11th hour after we’ve all spent money on permits & gotten hyped about opening. It’s SHADY AS SHIT! & downright fucking disrespectful to all of us.
I respectfully told the manager I was in contact with, that I will no longer be coming in for the opening & that they were genuinely disrespectful for being dishonest & manipulating fees til the last possible second. I will not allow a club already acting too big for its britches, to act brand new with me lol.
Good luck to the rest of yall ladies going in tonight. I sincerely hope yall make more than the expensive ass fees. I netted $10 after all the fees on the soft opening & I’m not into the shady behavior they’ve consistently pulled.
My only advice to anyone staying is PLEASE COMPLAIN about the fees. Hell threaten to walk (if you can afford to do so obvi) bc the more girls that make a ruckus, the more pressure they’ll be under to lower.
The manager I spoke to was actually very receptive to my feed back. Idk if that means shit, but it’s worth a shot.
I feel like this club is literally just trying to make their money off the dancers & im too tired to bother atp. Seeing that text genuinely upset me & I have not been this pissed off in YEARS. END OF RANT, thanks for coming to my titty talk.
