Am I wrong for thinking the recount deadlines don’t matter?

I’ve been following this sub since a couple days after the election, and I’m fairly onboard with a lot of what’s being discussed here. However, I see panic regarding the recount deadlines and it seems like people are losing hope.

Maybe someone can correct me, but my opinion is that if any of this is true, the recount deadlines do not matter.

This would be an unprecedented occurrence in our history that would involve treason and national security implications unlike anything we’ve ever seen. The recount would be the least of our worries, and I’m sure exceptions can be made legally if it’s determined there was interference.

Any opinions?
