Need helping playing Sleeping dog via Steam for MacBook Pro

Hi everyone. I hope you are all well.

I have attached the video of the game where I’m stuck in the second mission of the game. I want to know if others experienced playing this game in Mac? Or other platforms?

It is asking me to use light combat by pressing X (I use Xbox controller) but whenever I press the button the character is using some sort of stance and doesn’t actually combat enemies.

Before you ask. I have unstalled the game and installed back and still same problem in the same mission.

If someone helped me it would be great as I enjoy playing games. Thank you very much in advance.
