Why is Utah so anti weed?

I wanted to catch a mad blunt lap at Alta when I went on a trip last week and I was sad that the state was so anti weed, like why bro?? I didnt even see any mormons at the ski hill. why do you people like living here?? I def couldn’t live in a place without legal kush or legal parlays.
