To Turtle or Burst

I'm looking to start publishing a new serialized web-fiction, and I've heard a lot about the Turtle Method - where an author publishes according to a set schedue with the intention of slowly accumulating a dedicated following through sheer 'stay-power', and the Burst Method - where the first post is a 'burst-post' of multiple chapters with the intention of quickly garnering initial views and acumilating a dedicated following through quality and immeidate quantity of content.

I've seen both methods done multiple ways, with burst posting spread out over a single day, or over a set period of time before establishing a routine. Or with the turtle schedule being anything from 1 day a week to a-chapter-a-day.

I'm not sure what the pro's or cons of either method truly are, but I would appreciate any insight into the publishing experience if you took either route.
