Help..?

I'm really confused, when I first started playing I was making $9k-$15k per race (yes I have the credits multiplier) but now I'd be lucky to make over $1.5k per race. Can someone tell me what changed? I have literally changed nothing within the specifications of those races that were making me absolute bank but yet the reward changed drastically. (Also I'm on PS5)
