Currently 7 weeks pregnant, just had surgery taking Percocet

I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and had to have knee surgery. The surgeon prescribed Percocet and said he consulted with an OB and they cleared it. I am nervous to take it consistently so I have only taken them at night to help me sleep. I already tried calling my OB to see if they could see me sooner but they said they were booked out. Does anyone know if taking Percocet at 7 weeks will cause birth defects, miscarriage, etc if I take it?

The pain is starting to get a little bit better but it Percocet definitely takes the edge off. Help!!
