I’m kind of spiraling.

Hi guys. I’ve never been on Reddit before but I’ve been listening to Smosh Reddit stories recently and found out this app exists. Lol

Anywho, I found this community and thought I would ask this. Has anyone been told their baby has a heart defect? My fiance and I found out at our 20 week scan that our baby had “transposition of the great arteries” and a hole in between two of the main chambers in the heart. I was completely blindsided as I’ve never heard of it, nor has it happened to anyone around us. The doctors assured me that I didn’t cause it and that it just happens. We haven’t been given much information and honestly im terrified.

Does anyone know about this? Surgeries that need to happen? Recovery? Life expectancy? My depression has been severe since we found out and I know that isn’t healthy for the baby either. I just want our sweet baby girl to be okay. Any advice or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
