Flying first time with PWD
Hi all!
Looking to make sure I have all of my boxes checked. Flying with our 4 month old PWD over Thanksgiving on Alaska airlines. Direct flight but she needs to be with luggage since she’s just a little too big for carry on bag. I’ve been scouring online to make sure I have everything good to go but any advice to help her on her first flight?
Here’s what I have so far: -Called airlines and have her on the reservation -Health check completed from vet -Large sturdy kennel with detachable wheels -Done my best to get her comfortable with kennel although she still barks for a bit before settling down -Sedatives for flight (I have tested dose with her and it made her sleepy but not incapacitated. Breathing was normal) -Will take frozen bowl of ice so she has water as it melts -Air tag in kennel -Small bag of food with leash attached to kennel -Extra pee pads -Piece of our clothing layered under bedding
