Car Dash Mount

Sometimes when my wife and I go on road trips, I think this would be a beautiful pictures to attempt.

In my head I was thinking of like a inside of the car dash mount to mount the camera, and then a remote control shutter. To take photos out of the front window.

Has anyone tried this and it’s a bad idea or ideas to make it better?
