I love your country.

I've been in love with New Zealand since university, when I watched documentaries about its unique nature. In 2014, after failing to get a working-holiday visa the first time, I finally secured one and spent 15 unforgettable months there, mostly working in vineyards and traveling. I never made it to the North Island back then because I spent all my money exploring the South. I wanted to stay forever, but the thought of seeing my family only once a year scared me, so I returned to Slovakia and my engineering job. Years later, I quit my job again and traveled for six months—three in South America and three back in New Zealand, reconnecting with old places and friends. Now, at 36, I’m unsure if I want to continue my engineering career or if I can truly settle in Slovakia. I dream of hiking Kahurangi, biking Queen Charlotte Track, and even jumping Nevis bungee, but moving to New Zealand permanently isn't easy. I don't expect advice, but I just wanted to say—I LOVE YOUR COUNTRY.

The map shows most of the places I've visited, but I still have many more on my bucket list. Hopefully, one day I'll find a way to settle in my dream country.
