new arrival from SEH Kelly

ive been in contact with Paul over at SEH Kelly since august and waiting patiently for the new colors of their shawl cardigan to release for 2024 (cocoa and fen. at the beginning of this month he was kind enough to offer me the opportunity to purchase one before they went online in their store, which i graciously accepted. a few short weeks later, it has finally made its way across the pond and in to my collection.

these sweaters are all hand knit, and im a total sucker for that ancient craftsmanship. it's superfine lambswool, extraordinarily thick soft and warm - beyond comfortable. i thought my 1300 g/m2 sweater from bleu de chauffe was thick, but this thing snagged the crown. perhaps too thick for me to style it in a formal context with most of my traditional menswear being relatively slim and tailored, but i am very much enjoying it as a hefty layer around the house and it will make a great grab-and-go for casual outings. new to the design this year is the absence of the cross-chest seam, cleaning up the overall appearance of the cardigan. i absolutely love how it turned out!
