Need help choosing a virtual machine software to run QuickBooks
Let me start this by saying I am not the most tech-savvy person, so forgive me if I get the terminology (or everything I think I know for that matter) wrong.
So I am moving from the US to a very under-developed African country to work for a year in about a month. I will be working as the finance manager for an organization there, and the home office in the US uses QuickBooks. I need to be able to run their version of QuickBooks (Pro 2016), because according to Intuit, there won't be cross-functionality if I use QuickBooks for Mac while they use their Windows version. Which brings me to my dilemma.
In terms of options, I'm thinking I'll go with virtual machine software like Parallels or VMWare. I had to use VMWare while I was in university and absolutely despised it, but I also got it through my university so I have no clue what license they had acquired/if it's gotten better in the last few years.
Does anyone have any recommendations on which I should use or any other ideas? This will be solely used for running QuickBooks software.
