A happy surprise if you love Trudon Ernesto.
I recently placed my first order with Carrière Frères during their archive sale, and as a free gift they included a wax melt sample of their fragrance “Cèdre” (Cedar).
While it’s not an exact 100% dupe, I think you’ll find that it’s a 90% match to the fragrance profile of Trudon Ernesto. I haven’t ordered the Cèdre candle yet, but I definitely will in the future.
It came as quite a shock because Trudon’s Ernesto doesn’t come across my nose as woody, and the scent descriptions for both fragrances wouldn’t seem to overlap at all. Further, most of Carrière Frères’ candles are sort of one note, and Trudon’s (love them or hate them) have a tendency for being so complex and layered.
