What is Daonte's deal..on a real note 🤔

Ok, objectively speaking this man is not bad-looking, has a decent job, seems pretty coherent (aside from his very questionable relationship choices) no criminal history, no kids...overall appears pretty normal and stable. Features that a lot of worthy women would appreciate. Probably one of the most decent non-felon male counterparts this show has had, if not he most. If this plot is actually (mostly) genuine, why is he allowing himself to be clowned on so hard by Nichole. So he obviously seems to have a weakness for white women for whatever reason...and? I really think he could find a girl equally attractive to Nichole who's actually genuinely interested in him and also not a complete garbage human being. The only thing I can think of would be small penis syndrome....because there really is no thing close to a logical explanation for this self-loathing behavior. Thoughts??

ETA: Ok on further investigation I was way WAY wrong about his endowments....have not seen for myself but sounds like the man has the opposite problem if anything....too big can also be a problem sometimes 🤣
