Waiting endlessly for a response from Google.
I recently interviewed for a position, starting the process around June 16 when I first applied. I received a call and had my first interview scheduled for August 19, followed by a second interview on August 26, which was postponed to September 2. Everything went well until the stressful part began. After that, I didn't hear from the recruiter for a while, so I reached out. They mentioned it would take some time. I waited and then they asked for my transcript, which I sent, but received no reply for another month. I lost hope and started focusing on other opportunities. Then, they emailed saying my application was trending positively and I would receive an update by the 12th, but I haven't heard back since. When I messaged again, they said they had forwarded my application and that it takes time. The lengthy process is mentally exhausting, especially as I see LinkedIn posts of others getting selected. I'm struggling to focus on other things because it's always on my mind. Is the Google interview process usually this stressful? Should I consider applying to other startups given this situation? What should I do?
