What are your 5 important Tamil movies?

It doesn't have to be good. It's about your journey through Kollywood and it's movies. I will start first:

1) chandramukhi and 2) ghilli: obvious reasons is that because these are the first movies I ever watched as a child and it started making me excited about watching other movies.

3) kuruvi : this is the first movie for me which shows that no matter how big your cast is and how popular the hero are, if the direction, writing and logic is messed up, then the movie will not work. It's one of the movies that made me to be sceptical about watching upcoming movies no matter who the heroes are.

4) utamaputhiran: no matter how many years passed , I would still watch this movie over and over again. Such as pleasant movie to watch if u have a down time. This type of feel good movies are not given importance because of the toxic competition of pan Indian box office collections.

5) varumaiyan neram segapu: this is the most important movie for me. It made me to change the mindset about heroes in the movies as extragavant, super heroish persona. It showed me that the protagonist can also struggle for finding work under extreme circumstances. The climax is the best in my opinion because protagonist's father enters his son's saloon and sees him struggling for life. Most of the movies shows heroes as underdog and finnally become multi-millionnare but this movie is not that. It showed the cruel circumstances of the hero in a very natural way.
