My sense of direction is dead

I'm doing hardcore for the first time as my second playthrough. I wanted to go to Talmberg from Uzhitz and used the setting sun to orient myself. Ended up at the northern border & made a giant circle twice to the woodcutter camp over there. Went to Ledetchko on my way to Merhojed, ended up in the Sasau woods. Tried to reorient but the sun is covered by clouds on this day. Ended up in Vranik. I'm so lost ;-;

Guess I'll try to go back to the Rattay Mill before nightfall so that way I can buy a bed at The Wagoner's Inn at this rate
