Need help with ankle crack technique.

So my right heel feels super tight and I can only get relief(which dosent even last 10 seconds) from it by planting my foot on the floor and dropping all my weight through my leg to bend it forward. I'm certain there are better ways to do this that dont risk a fracture however it's the only way I can relieve it. Any tips or help and sorry if my description isn't good enough it's hard to explain.
