Cleaning around instead of under
I just hired a new cleaning team for my 1700 sq ft house. After they left I noticed a lot of dirt and debris on the floor around a mat near my slider and some larger carpets in the living room. I lifted the the mat entirely and the edges of big carpets and swept up the dirt. It was quite a lot. I also noticed crumbs around items (jars, coffeemaker, etc.) on my kitchen counter, which means they didn't clean under the items but just around them.
I texted the cleaner to let her know, but isn't this something that a professional should know already? Should I nip this in the bud and look for a new team, or continue to "tutor" them on what's acceptable? To note, I always declutter my house and preclean before they get here, so it's not as if they had to do a lot of extra work.
