Must haves and dealbreakers

what are some things your bags MUST have for you to consider purchasing? What are some factors that immediately turn you off from a bag? What are things that make you like a bag you’re on the fence about?

I’ll go first:

Must have: silver hardware, a zipper, deceptively roomy, and able to fit on my shoulder, longevity

Dealbreakers: excessive gold hardware, “””””vegan””””” leather, no structure (unless it’s a tote), expensive just for the hell of it, crossbody styles, fur or animal products that don't contribute to the overall quality of the bag and are just for show

What’ll sway me: a fun or kitschy design, craftsmanship, nostalgia, a cute little d ring for charms
