Schweißen in Deutschland, welding in Germany
I just moved to Deutschland from USA and am going to be in school learning the language in Köln for 6 months. 4 days a weeks 4 hours a day. From the info I have recieved from the people around me there are many companies taking in people if they even just know English. I'm wanting to hear people's advice and info and really curious about the ranges in pay rates for welding here.
Background- Completed a Union apprenticeship for the Boilermakers. Had that job for 7 years. Tig and stick/smaw are what I am proficient in mild steel, stainless, inconel metals. Welded in powerplants, refineries, and factory settings with welds both x-rayed and ultrasound tested. Then there is lots of rigging with cranes and big equipment we worked in conjunction with.
What does that type of work entail and pay here? What places should be stayed away from? General talking space and any help is much appreciated as my ladies family is not anywhere near that profession to ask questions. For reference I was making $42/hr and lots of overtime.
Erased and reposted due to funny spelling mistake haha
