If real life ran on video game logic what ordinary task would get way more difficult?

I was playing an adventure game the other day and marveled at an esoteric series of steps needed to open a single door--finding scissors to cut open a stitched-together teddy bear to get an arrow to solve a lever puzzle involving zodiac signs--and wondered how complicated real life would be if it ran on that kind of logic (though any genre would count, this is just one of the more egregious examples).
