Someone explain to me why Mike Henry stepped down as Cleveland.

I was thinking about it, and it seems really hypocritical. He continues to voice a very stereotypical gay guy, a very stereotypical Hispanic woman, and a pedophile. The only “black” thing about Cleveland is his skin color. Other than that, he was a regular straight-man character and probably the most normal one of Peter’s friends. I don’t get it.
