I just finished watching The End of Evangelion for the first time. And... WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!?!
For the longest time i've tried to avoid watching the movie right after finishing the original series last year because of things people shared about the movie (none were spoilers btw.) But now i decided to watch it.
The first was was usuall Eva stuff and the fight scene with Asuka was cool. But then I saw her Eva (WITH HER STILL INSIDE) being eaten was very shocking to see.
And then i carried of watching the second half and this is were things get fucked up. After Eva 1 went to space, "the song" starts to play and i witnessed the most beautifully animated and fucked up scene i have ever saw in anime. After that scene ended, I pause the movie and laydown on my bed. With my face burried on my pillow, I screamed to the top of my lungs with confusion and fear. It was something i had never experienced before after watching that scene.
I layed down for a few minuites with tears building up in my eyes, but continued on where i left and finished the movie. Overall, it's the most beautiful and depressing movie i have ever saw, i finally understand why people still talk about Evangelion, and why this franchise was so beloved by weebs. It takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish. It's heartbreaking, but it's so moving. And i'll never watch this movie again. Only one watch is all it takes to make it life changing. (And now my throat hurts from all that screaming)
