Laparoscopy pain

So I had my laparoscopy yesterday after 10 years of complaining about problem - they found endo on my bladder, vagina wall and under my left ovary. I am over the moon, I needed answers, I felt insane, I felt stupid and my mental health was awful because of it.

I’m in pain in my stomach - which is totally normal and understandable but the one thing I didnt expect was achy shoulders?! I did a lot of research on the surgery to be prepared and not once did this come up? I was so confused if felt like someone has beaten me up with hundreds of bricks. To the point it was hurting more than my stomach cuts were. It was 9/10 on the painscale and was making me feel sick.

When I asked the nurse why, they said it’s because the air they fill you up with moves into your chest and shoulder blade area which puts pressure on them. I found it so strange! Did anyone else have this horrible pain?
