Switched from Aquafore to Vanicream and it is a World of Difference

My eczema has been moderate to severe for the past few years but I finally got it under a manageable degree with topical tacrolimus. This whole time I've used aquafore after showering or washing my hands and it would help keep the moisture in. My eczema areas would stay agitated but manageable. With aquafore, it got in my clothes, made it so I couldn't touch anything/anyone after I showered, and was overall quite frustrating. After YEARS of dealing with this, I decided to see what other people online thought and looked on reddit to see what people were saying about moisturizers and which ones to try. That's when I came across people talking about how Aquafore contains lanolin, which due to deriving from sheeps wool can irritate some people. I saw a ton of people recommending Vanicream, so I bought a tub. First testing it on my hands to make sure it didn't irritate me, I was really shocked at how it felt. No long lasting slug feel. I later took a shower and used it and holy hell it's amazing. I can put clothes on after, I can grab things without them getting slugged, it doesn't get my hair gunky, not as many milium form on my face, and most importantly my eczema stays so much more soothed. I don't need to put on my medicine nearly as much anymore. The only thing is I have to slather vanicream on immediately and I mean immediately after a shower. Some areas Ill wait a moment and apply a second layer too. I highly suggest it if you're looking to switch lotions. I don't know if the success of it will wear off or if I found a sweet spot, but for now I'm really happy with it. :)
