Recommended laptop for Debian and Windows VMs

Hi,

I'm wondering what laptop is recommended that is fully supported through Debian.

My only other requirements are to occasionally use a VM or two for M365 work, and to be able to play the oçcasional point and click game mostly through Steam.

Will an older ThinkPad do?
