SoD Transfer to TBC Next Year?

I assume that at some point Season of Discovery will end because it's literally a seasonal server. I believe that Season of Mastery players were given the option to Transfer to either Era or Classic, correct me if I am wrong. The timeline of Anniversary going to TBC in a year seems to coincide very well with SoD getting a couple more raids then wrapping up.

Do you think it will make sense to also offer SoD characters a transfer to their choice of Era or Anniversary, or even to Classic? How would the new gear be handled? The updated gear could simply be reverted and the runes removed, but I've never seen a situation like this with brand new items with unique effects..

Or do you think SoD will remain it's own server permanently and continue to receive new updates for years? I wonder what Blizzard's long term plan is. What would you want to see happen with SoD in a year from now, and would you want to continue playing on TBC?
