IUD renewal

I've been really stressed about a possible federal abortion ban and birth control becoming inaccessible in the United States. I've had my IUD 7 years now, and it should be good one more year per my doctors recommendation. But I've already made an appointment to get a new one. Will this be enough? Is there anything else i should do to prepare for lack of access to birth control and health care? I would wait another year to get a new one but I don't think I'll be able to if I wait.
