Why are people so obsessed with trying to tear down Chappell Roan?

Apologies if this is an over-discussed topic, this is my first time here. I hope the mods will leave this up for my own edification.

I'm not a stan by any means, and I don't really engage in celeb culture. I think that celebs are people, and people do shitty things and make bad decisions sometimes. And that's okay.

That said, it feels like Chappell Roan gets a lot more flak online for anything even mildly controversial she does, and people are always trying to find things to criticize and attack her about. First it was her statement about not endorsing a political candidate, now it's the whole thing with the nail tech (which may or may not be true), or bullshit like this.

It just feels like, even in comparison to other celebrities, Chappell gets a lot of undue hate online, and I can't figure out why that is. It's like people are trying to find reasons to dislike her. Let me know your thoughts.
