Typecast!?

I think if I mention the word 'typcast' a lot of actress and actors will come in mind.

I have see a lot of people say yang zi is typecasted which I definitely don't agree with. She has been acting for 20+ years and she has played so many diverse roles but I don't really blame people who say that because the characters of some of her mega hits were all cutesy FLs which made people think she was typecasted anyways. I'm really happy to see many people changing their mindset after seeing her in lost you forever, best choice ever and her most recent drama Flourished Peony

Are there also any actors/actresses you think have been typecasted but who have managed to show range in another drama/ who acted in roles that is different from the usual roles they play? You can write their names with their drama(s) in the comment section. I decided to put some of yangzi other dramas in the 2nd slide where she showed her range

P.S when I say typecast it doesn't only apply to cutesy roles and all, some might be for cold stoic roles, CEO roles and the likes
