Sunday Shenanigans: Week 1: Starting your fictional harem.

It’s finally time for us to start building our fictional harems. If you aren’t sure what this is, please read my initial post from 9/22. Today’s task is to add our first five members, assign them their initial roles and titles (if any), and give them a task to perform for you... the ruler.

I have planned this with some role-play to add to the fun. If role play isn’t your jam, I will put in a Start RP Here and End RP Here marker in the post so you can skip to the end of the Role Play for the directions on how we are picking our first five harem members.

Edit: Remember your picks can be Men, Women, or Both.

“Good Morning, Ruler,” the palace eunuch assigned to your bedchamber gently wakes you. As you slowly come to consciousness, you find yourself in an ornate bed chamber with servants and eunuchs bowing.

“Huh, where am I?” you mutter under your breath. The eunuch who awakened you bowing lower replies in panic, “Majesty, surely you jest. You are in the royal bedchamber. You were very drunk after your ascension yesterday.”

That’s right. Yesterday, you were named the Supreme Ruler of the State of Zhou by the Imperial decree of the late Emperor.

Rubbing the sleep out of your eyes, you look around. The eunuch who woke you leads you to a warm bath, and after bathing and dressing, you are taken to the Morning Session of Ministers.

The ministers bow with a chorus of Wan Sui, Wan Sui, Wan Wan Sui, bowing to you.

After the bowing ceremonies, the Prime Minister drones on about how you’re far past the age to marry. You hear, “Your first task as the ruler is to start your family.

We need an heir like yesterday. Here are ten individuals for you to choose from.

You must select five to send to the harem. The Imperial harem must be filled.”

You may select your first 5 Harem members now: Show us their pictures… you know, the ones the Prime Minister showed. (Find your favorite picture of your character from the shows).

Which IP (show/movie) they are from:
What is their initial rank:
Do any get a particular title? (Have you forgotten these? Double check the link at the top of the post.)
Who is the most favored member of the harem:
What tasks does each individual try to perform for you:
- Some Examples: (You can pick anything you want them to do for you)
  - Washing Feet
  - Cooking Food
  - Playing traditional instruments: Guqin, Pipa, Guzheng, Hulsi, Erhu, or one of the many types of Dizi (flutes).

Remember, you don't have to fill the top spots first. (I just decided to take this approach). Also, each counterpart persona a character has in a show is a separate person for the sake of this game. You will see one of these in my #5. The counterpart will show up later in my harem.
