Sick all the time - is it normal?

I am curious if other people are getting sick as much as I do. I know the gym is a breeding ground for germs and we come in close contact with a bunch of different people each day. I'm wondering if the rest of you are getting sick as much as me. In the last few months, its rare that I go more than two weeks without some type of stomach bug or sinus infection/cold. I'm getting blood work and all of that, I'm just curious if this hobby just causes people to be sick more often.

Also, I always go downhill once I start to balance lifting with BJJ. I only go to 3-4 classes a week, but as soon as I start lifting, I'm on my butt with something within a few weeks. Has anybody found the magic balance? For reference, I'm almost 40 and have a child in daycare, so that could also be the root cause of all this. Thanks!
