When a fighter jet reaches the speed of sound, does the pilot hear anything until they exit the sound barrier?

This is really random, but i just want to know if this is true.

If a pilot is at the speed of sound, would they hear nothing? Would they be able to hear any sound at all? Does the sound inside of the cockpick still reach the pilots ears?
