I'm really terrified of going to a male prison. What should I do?

In my state (Wisconsin), if you don't have a sex change operation you will be sent to a men's prison. I plan to have bottom surgery but I could get convicted before it happens. Apparently, you are not allowed to have your surgery while in prison even if you can't afford it. I've been charged with a crime and I'm very nervous about my future and don't know what to do.
