What would you call this view?
The belief that life has a predetermined path, one set by fate or some natural order, and that there is a default way things should unfold and that is the correct way. It’s understood that we have the ability to change things or make different choices, so the future is not the default one, this belief holds that we should not—because trying to alter the course of events would go against the natural or destined flow.
It’s accepting fate and that actions or lack there of should be guided by the belief that things should be what’s “meant to be,” rather than striving to force change or pursue alternatives. The key is not just knowing things are predestined, but actively choosing to let them unfold naturally without interference.
