Should I push for Zepbound over Saxenda?
My doc discussed with me about weight loss options and got me excited about Zepbound. I looked on Reddit, reviewed a lot of the data, just generally was excited. Unfortunately my insurance denied it and suggested Saxenda instead, which is a daily shot and seems to be less effective. That all being said, has anyone had the same situation and found a way to get their insurance to cover Zepbound? Maybe try Saxenda for a bit and see how it goes? Tell the insurance the daily needles will be problematic?
I just hate to start this journey on something (Saxenda) that seems obviously subpar to a great med that has fewer side effects, once a week shots, etc. Thanks!
