help!!

i’m a 14 year old girl who got my first job at an independent record store two weeks ago. i work saturdays and sundays. despite this, i haven’t been paid a single dollar. i put in a lot of effort to helping with the store, and i get nothing in compensation. i’ve asked the owner about it, and he dodges the subject. the store is in bad financial condition and if they haven’t paid me for two weeks and won’t even acknowledge it, they’re unlikely to suddenly change. i believe i should be compensated for my effort. my mum has told me this is basically child labour / exploitation.

do i quit? what do i do? i’m autistic and the working environment is perfect for me, and i love my coworkers; but i believe i should be paid. please give me advice. this is my first working experience and im not sure whats right or wrong.
