Plant Based Disney Food
First time back at DW since 2021. Super excited for many reasons but I looked forward to all the new plant based options when dining. I used the vegan Disney world blog for guidance on what and where.
I am strictly vegetarian but eat mostly vegan. The naan bread and a few of the sauces and some of the BBQ sides are not vegan.
- Vegan breakfast spread from Boma in AK Lodge
- Felucian falafel and hummus from Dock 7 in HS
- Chicago dog from Casey’s in AK
- & 5. Mushroom bao buns and Szechuan noodles from Tiffins in AK
- & 7. Mushroom tart and vegan poutine (off menu) from Le Cellier Steakhouse in Canada Epcot
- Crispy mushroom from Columbia House MK
- Vegan lobster roll from Rosie’s All American in HS
- Plant based three course meal (missing dessert) from Roundup Rodeo BBQ in HS 11., 12., & 13. Plant based three course meal (corn soup, roasted squash, cake) from Belle’s Castle in MK
- Corn fritter and shepherds pie from Raglan Road in DD
- Naan bread spread, lentil daal, and chickpea stew from Sanaa in AK Lodge
Best meals - vegan poutine (my only time ever having so can’t compare but it was delicious), mushroom tart, breakfast spread, and shepherds pie I would all get again.
Pretty good meals - mostly everything but I have to critique the lobster roll and crispy mushroom. Taste was there but the bread was so thick and the filling minimal it just felt like a chore to eat.
Not worth it - Belle’s - corn soup and dessert was good but the entree was lackluster for the price. I took the baguette and made it my “park bread” so I felt like I got my money’s worth. Roundup Rodeo is worth it ONLY if you have at least 4 people. I didn’t understand the menu and thought I could choose items and not that every damn side was going to be given. There were only two of us and due to a fire that day we had our reservation moved to 9 pm so it wasn’t like it was worth trying to save for dinner leftovers. Our waiter assured us waste gets used for bus fuel so that made us feel a bit better.
Overall I definitely enjoyed the options a lot more than prior years. We spent a lot of money this time for our anniversary so we won’t be back for a few years again. I’m hoping the options will be just as tasty then!
